Abstract:
The Progressive Biomechanical Remodeling (PBR) theory presents a novel approach to craniofacial remodeling by exploring the effects of sustained, low-force mechanical pressure over time. Drawing from established principles of bone biology, PBR theorizes that consistent application of these forces may lead to gradual changes in craniofacial structure. This paper reviews the biological mechanisms behind this process, examines supporting clinical and experimental evidence, and discusses potential applications for this approach in non-invasive treatments for adults.
